No, near isn't.
What you have to try to remember is that reptiles that are unhappy won't display any signs until they become very sick.
A leo would be wretched with another leo in there - he will be even more so near a foreign reptile in with him.
Answers: [lol - lisa R ] anyway, yeh i woudnt recomend any other animals in with leo's except other leo's. BUT at reptile house i saw they kept leopard geckos with hermit crabs! it seemed to be working fine and looked pretty amazing!

if you did your research and set up a 50 gallon breeder container for just 2 geckos and a diurnal species found where they're found, you may beable to do it. mixed tanks a short time ago dont tend to do as well.
i'm not saying it cant be done, but it is frowned upon
