Leopard gecko quiz?
two questions i have a baby leopard gecko how abundant mealworms to put in his bowl also could i use moss as bedding who ever gets the best rating gets 10 points
Offer the gecko as many as it wants.babies grow rapid, and this time is crucial for proper growth that could prevent health issues in the future.
Generally speaking, little one leopard geckos should be housed on paper towels and and newspaper (or any other no-impaction risk substrate like tile)..although a store cave with moss in it is benefiial for proper humidity during shedding.
DON'T use moss as a bedding. It can get ingested and will hurt the gecko. I would use article towel, newspaper, or commercial "cage carpet". Just don't use sand, dirt, or even "calci-sand" because they can cause impaction or even departure.
Also, It is more the size of the mealworms that matters than the amount. Put small mealworms in, wait 15 minutes, and whether the gecko hasn't eaten any, it's probably not hungry.
Answers: i would put something like 7-12 about once a day
I would consent to the little guy eat as many as he wants. They know what they can bar. Also for the bedding astro turf is good but paper towles will do fine and somewhere for them to hide.
