TURTLE HELP PLEASE IN SC.?
I have 3 red ear sliders and one painter. Recently I caught some placeing 3 large red ears into a pond near the house. I rescued them because they can not survive contained by the wild. Does anyone know where i can place them becuase they are starting to cramp up my own turtles.

Get a kiddy pond whether you have one and seperate them in that..
These guys can become cannibalistic and will kill the smallest turtle whether there is not enough room and food.
where do you live. i live in arkansas and both those species of turtles are everywhere here. if u live somewhere on the bottom hold of the US they may be just fine in the wild. other astute u can buy a $5 plastic ben from wall mart and fill it up with water and use that instead. cuz contained by know from experecne that a crowded aquarium of water turtles means alot of crap.
Answers: Personally, I would like to see the departure penalty for anyone caught releasing animals outside their range. Some of my more liberal friends feel that this is a trifle extreme, though.
Your best bet for placing them is to find a herpetological society in your area. Second-best is to place an ad on craigslist. Ads are free. You might be capable of place them through your veterinarian or through a local pet store.
