What to put within Aquarium near Aquatic Turtle for frill?

I'm getting a small (4-5 in. long) aquatic turtle soon, and I have 2 filter, a 29 gallon tank, and gravel. I know I need a UVA/UVB light and a bask spot, as well as some food and a submersible heater. But what should I put in the cistern as deco? What do turtles like to have ion the tanks next to them? When I had fish I put little rock caves and little houses that they would go contained by, but I don't know what to do with a turtle seeming as the fact there so big. So what do i call for to get? Is there any more important things I'm lost from my list? Please help! Thanks!
From your description, you have a pretty good beginner setup that's really honest for a 4-5 inch aquatic turtle. One thing though, gravel at the bottom is really not needed and it even might pose a risk of your turtles ingesting contained by by accident when he or she is scavenging the bottom for loose food. I would go stripped tank and maybe add some nice leafy plants both bogus and real if you wish to donate your turtle a little more security and it will also make the container more eye appealing. Another thing i wanna mention is that aquatic turtles can get reasonably large so if you plan on keeping him in that 29 gallon container for his whole life plan on upgrading to a larger more powerful filter, one that filters 150 gph is just what the doctor ordered. Hope this helps and good luck :D
hmm. maybe a showy food dish
Answers:    No caves,,,really no decorations. Some plants whether you must.

Cause they are not the brightest. They get stuck in something and only dance forward not realizing they could calm down and back out of where on earth or what ever they are stuck in. So they drown. Pretty sad.
They strress out so easy particularly with humans . They see us as predators like coyotes, foxes, owls, hawks, possums, raccoons and even some wide mouth bass and us humans.
People on here write adjectives the time about them finding a stuck turtle.
If ya get gravel make ir big so they can't swallow it.
Plastic plants they will a short time ago up root them looking for worms like they do in the wild. Its their quality. They can have garden worms, meal worms, snails, crickets, flies, crayfish small frogs, slugs, tadpoles dragon flies and anything that moves, but only as a treat.
They necessitate leafy greens Romaine, Butter lettuce. (Iceberg and cabbage are bad for them, any other leafy greens will do) for vitamin A that they need at least 3 to 4 times a week.
They love grapes and strawberries and squash apples.
.**Swollen cloudy eyes which process lacking in Vitamin A. Which we all obligation for good eyes. Google ‘vegetables with Vitamin A.
They NEED calcium and protein they get it from the fish meat and the fish bones.
Drop 20 or so feeder guppies, goldfish or minnows surrounded by the tank and watch them disappear in a few days! The more they get through the healthier the turtle and ya have swimming decorations ..their food just resembling in the wild. This way when they swim for their dinner they return with exercise also!
TOSS in a bird cuttle bone in the water for calcium that will promote better shell growth, it will dissolve solid slow and if they eat it that’s fine!!
