A few hamster question.?

My hamster isn't sleeping much, and I was wondering what could be the reason for this. I KNOW they're nocturnal. He's not sleeping much at night and is awake during the hours of daylight as well. Occasionally I will see him napping, but I'm not sure if he's getting ample sleep. Should I be worried?

Also, he really likes the seeds that come in his pre-packaged food. They look approaching pumpkin seeds and I was wondering where I could achieve just pumpkin seeds to feed him as a treat. I know they take home pumpkin seeds for humans, but they're REALLY salty. Like 230% of a human's daily sodium intake. So, that's probably too salt for a dwarf hamster. Are there hamster-friendly pumpkin seeds out there?
Answers:    Your pumpkin seed are probably way too salty for her.

As for the sleeping she probably just desires less sleep than the average hamster.
Some animals, like some humans just call for less sleep. Unless he is displaying signs of distress, or you or a brother etc. keep him up to play, he is probably getting the sleep he needs.

Many stores own bulk sections with food. You will want to get rare, unsalted pumpkin seeds. Healthfood stores have them as well. Sunflower seed are good too... same raw and unsalted.
