A few hamster question? and how to convince my mom to agree to me draw from one?
i want a hamster..i had one at my dads house but she died after living a long hamster life of 3 years and she was care for well.
anyways..i want one, I want a golden syrian hamster.
i have a 20 gallon aquarium with a tight eyeshade lid. and i figure that with all the supplies (wheel,bedding,hamster,food and ball) should be more than 40 bucks,right?
i hear that carefresh beddng is great? how is it? i want to hold odor to a minimum and will clean the cage once a week.
also my mom doesnt really want one but she agreed that if i hold my grades up and my room clean we will discuss it. i plan to give her a fact sheet i am going to manufacture with a few hamster facts.
any other little tips would be nice :P
is it true that females stink more than males? i hear that they go into heat every four days and excrete a fluid from their vagina but i hear it doesnt smell that bad. is it true?

Yes all of the supplies will cost well over 40 dollars, probably more similar to 70, depending on where you go.
Carefresh is the best type of bedding on the market. It is soft, undisruptive to chew, it controls odors, and it is fairly inexpensive. It also does not contain dust.
Make a pros and cons list and offer to pay envelope for any vet expenses your hamster might have
Female hamsters do go into heat every four days and the odor is extraordinarily detectable and very recognizable. However, this does not mean that womanly hamsters do not make good pets. I have a womanly hamster and she is the best hamster I have ever had.
Well yesterday i get a new female and she kinda smells but ive had boys contained by the past and they smell 2. Carefresh is great. Here are prices i got my supplies 4:

And clean the round up once a week.
Yes females go into heat every 4 days and i really only smells whether you put ur nose close to her.

sorry but if your parents say no, dont communicate the world about it! its nobody else's business. anyway aquariums are not virtuous homes for any animals except fish. you need an actual cage. and also you entail to read up better on them BEFORE you get one. also, carefresh is SUPER expensive. i love that stuff but my guinea pigs went through it fast. the money spent on that stuff started to achieve ridiculous. i like doing the best for my pets, but that was insane. i know some people vote its not good, but ASPEN wood litter actually really works well. not SOFTWOOD litter- ASPEN wood. not AS good( but still pretty good), but a LOT cheaper.
well you hold a lot of questions. but i ll try to answer for you. First i don't propose you getting a aquarium cage for your hammy. and yes the stuff u need for ur hammys are more than 40$$. o and yea carefresh bedding is the best! i think its made out of dissertation.. don't not use any kind of wood bedding for your hammy! and tell your mom that you don't have to aid about washing the cage and shifting the food, water and other stuff like that. And i got two womanly hamster, they don't smells.0_0... i don't no y people said that. maybe its true but my two hamsters don't smells.. and i think you could a switch a golden syrian hamster b cause you had one before...

2)carefress is good.a way to keep oder to a min. is definalty stop verbs every other day and clean every week. Carefress should keep oder down though
3)Afact sheet is a great conception the way i got my first hammie was to detail my mum about how much fun they are and ow much i would care for it and love it. (i love animals opsesed lol)
4)tell her that she wont have to do anythink besides drive to attain new food and bedding and you i (you) will do the rest
5)I have had individual males because i don't know really lol
But i'm sure it wonldn't make a change conceivably a little bit more smell but shouldn't be much differnt my friend had a girl hammie and hers smelled the same as mine.

It is true that females stink less than males BUT I own a male hamster and he doesn't smell AT ALL. Care freshh is a great bedding! A tad expensive, but it really does the job on blocking odor. It's also soft so your hamster can build a warm nest. 20 gallon aquariums are awesome cage for hamsters! Hmm I might have the same one as you because when you said tight screen lid, it reminds me of mine which slide to amenable and slides back in and at the end it brand of snaps into place with these clip kind of things at the end. Yeah, I don't know why I said that but lol xD. Anyways, you should also grasp some chew toys for your hamster. Hamsters teeth grow and grow continuously and if they get to long your hamster won't be able to chomp through and it will starve! I would buy chew toys that are made of food and treats, not wood ones because your hamster will ignore them because they taste like zilch and it can splinter their insides! i simply want to say ii hope u get one, but i also wanted to notify you the beding is great and safe.but befor you get a hamster i just considered necessary to tell you not all but most are not very nice. they tend to bite and it hurts alot and i enjoy had both hamsters and gerbils and i think gerbils are very sweet. but also i needed to tell you another great pet to consider is a rat they are amazing pets they want to be with you opposed to a hamster who preferes to hold to them selves and a rat is very sweet and mnuch nicer and they rarley ever bite. i have 1 rat she is a rex rat and she is a sweet heart she climbs on my shoulder and on my head and cuddles next to me on the couch she likes to play with me and i focus you should mabe consider a rat or a gerbil opposed to a hamster because its sad when you want something so bad but when you gain it it is not what you expected.hope i helped and not hurt your idea of your pet hamster.and im not say adjectives hamster are mean so dont think that.
