Another guinea pig quiz?
so the guinea pig i thought was a girl is definitely a boy! thats ok i still love him well he is a brat and i know he of late needs to get to know the other piggys well i enjoy two other male piggys farely young so they love each other but i hold no idea how old this new piggy is because i be at work and a customer brought him in and dropped him off (i work at petsmart) he was not taken keeping of very sad but he is doing much better for those who are concerned
i just required to know if anyone had any ideas on how i can better acquaint the up to date piggy
heres the situation they each have their own cages right presently bacause i didnt know the amount of space rules... well im currently constructing what i call a piggy palace about 30 square foot so they can all live together
so i put them in the space each morning to socialize with each other but i have to seperate the dominant males and i dont know how to achieve them to like each other please help
Answers: You could try bathing them surrounded by the same guinea pig safe shampoo. That way they will adjectives smell like they're from the same group.
Sorry to say, but possibly it just isn't meant to be. You could always put 2 cage next to each other, or if you are building a huge C&C cage, like you mentioned, but a divider in it, so they can still see, hear, and smell respectively other, just not act agressively twards each other. And whether they do get agressive, there are bars separating them, so nobody get hurt.

There should be a 2 week quarentine period before the pigs even meet. Try rubbing your shirt on the mature guinea pigs then on the new one WHEN they meet. Also try feed them together
