Anti-social and indolent hamster minister to?
My Teddybear Chandler was active enough when I first get him about two months ago. Now he's fallen into a few bad customs.
Firstly, he puts all of the bedding in his removable hamster globe, so he couldn't get any exercise if he wanted to unless I verbs it out daily.
Secondly, he's become sooo lazy and apathetic, just adjectives out in his ball all daylight and all night without running.
Thirdly, even when I submit him a treat or two he just sits there and stares at me.
What's wrong with him? And I don't believe he's sick, because there's no symptoms of drizzling tail or a cold. And I'm not sure of his age because those idiots at the pet store only told me he's a couple months.
Answers: I think that regularly handling would solve this problem as your hamster would know how to get used to you. You might want to let him run around in a undisruptive secure room so that he is less likely to of late sit there. After each time you put him back surrounded by his cage, give him a hamster treat or piece of his' favourite fruit/veg so that he know that he has been good and he will later realise that he will be rewarded for good behaviour.
He might also be overweight so try not to overfeed him as this will contribute to his laziness. If he is one and only a few months old then he should be fairly stirring, my hamster is nearly 3 months old and loves to run around every day.
If you are still having this problem I would bring back him checked over by a vet to make sure he has no underlying problems,
I hope this help
Good Luck
i think ur hamster is just lazy one of my syrian hamsters mojo never go in his wheel the only things he does are guzzle sleep and poo. But as long as he has extra exercise in his bubble he is alright so i recommend that you do that just take him out in his globe and just let him roll around your house and make certain he has a well balanced diet.
hope this help good luck
