Are hamsters can incentive some diseases to us?
I put my hamsters in my room. Is it OK? My mom yells at me because of that.

it's ok i enjoy hamsters in my room too..and hamsters cannot cause any harm to humans whether u got it at a pet store because hamsters r checked first before put themon sale. however whether u got ur hamster in the wild (which i dont suggest u did) there might be a change thats has Lymphocytic choriomeningitis which is a virus that adjectives roedents in the wild maight carrie with them..some of the symptoms of these virus r restlessness, chills, muscle aches, cough, and vomiting and thats just the first phase if gone untreatened it can lead to headache, stiff neck, listlessness, and nausea and vomiting. so if u get ur hammie at a pet store dont worry it will be ok..but just in satchel try to clean ur hammies cage every week.good luck

Hamsters do not spread diseases.
Not the domesticated ones at least!
I keep 3 hamsters in my room and I've never have a disease because of them.
Hamsters are lovely pets, but since they are a part of the rodent family, a lot of inhabitants (especially moms) have problems with them.
Some even associate hamsters with rats.
There are rumors of rats spreading rabies and plague (but it's the mites that are infected that cause the disease in them)
So they think even hamsters spread diseases.
My mom used to do the same point, but it has been a year and I didn't let her win.
She give up.
However, that doesn't meant that YOU cannot pass diseases onto them.
Always wash your hand before and after you touch them.
They have a low immune system, and so human viral and bacterial diseases could be easily passed on.

Where the hell else are you going to keep your Hamsters whether you mom doesnt even want them in your room?
There is beyond doubt NO problem with that. The only thing fruitless about that is you might get annoyed near the wheel. The best place for a hamster is in your room. I have 23 contained by my room right now and I've never got sick from them.
