Yep, nearly all rodents are fast. If you have one/plan on getting one, after buy a cage that is escape proof, & never leave them out of their hold unattended! Same with other rodents, they sure are fast too!
Gerbils are very fast, but they are also very perfect jumpers. Better than nearly any other rodent. (Other than squirrels of course!) Make sure you safe and sound attach the lid.
YES!! I can NEVER catch mine! They ALWAYS run from me! Buy a hamster they are much BETTER!
