Can guniea-pigs devour oranges or the skin?

it's because my piggy is expecting babys and needs vit c
All guinea pigs need extra vitamin c; this is why you should never nurture rabbit food to them as they have different requirements. Rabbits will get the runs with like mad of vit c but gps will die without it, if it goes on for long adequate. If you have rabbits and gps, always make certain they are given their own food and not a mixed food for both.
I have only had one gp who like oranges and she always left the peel. Provide a inspection of fruit and veg and maybe even add a special vit c supplement to the water bottle.
Ooh Gp babies; cutest things on floor. I am envious!
You can cut up pieces of orange for her for extra vitamin C. The wont chomp through the peels, so make sure you remove them when they're done to hold on to the cage clean.

And yes, even if they are on dutiful food, they will need extra vitamin C. Humans and Guinea pigs cannot produce their own Vit C as other animals can. Without it, humans get Scurvy, and it's purely as nasty and fatal for g pigs as well.

Slices of oranges are a terrifically good way to get her the additional C she needs, and she will love the treat :)
Yes it is nontoxic for them to eat oranges and the peel if the want to. Not adjectives guinea pigs like to eat the peel. Its a great source of Vit C for them.
No! They shouldn't because it can give it diarrhoea and cause it to dehydrate. It may be a source of vitamin c, but to be honest it is too acidic for a sweet harmless little guinea-pig. They can have vitamins bought from a supermarket. But be really careful- your vet should tell you whether or not to do this, so check first. I agree baby guinea pigs are simply so adorable :) I'd ask your vet what to do, as it is pregnant.
Answers:    Yes, they can eat oranges, but they are very large in sugar. They can also cause mouth ulcers due to the soaring acidic content.

A better alternative would be human grade chewable Vitamin C tablets. Buy a bottle of 50mg tablets. Cut the tablet in partly so you have two 25mg pieces. Give your pregnant piggie one half in the morning & one partly at night.

You should also be feeding her a varied veggie diet and unlimited alfalfa hay, as economically as her pellets.

No, it can give your pig diarrhea and cause it to dehydrate. Go to your local pet store...you can buy a vitamin c supplement there to make a contribution your pig that is FOR your pig. If you are feeding her good food, she shouldnt requirement an extra boost of vitamin C.
