Can hamsters effect xma?
my sister got x-ma and my mum said that hamsters can give you more x-ma if you enjoy one is this true?
Only if they are alergic to hamster dander (which is rare) and even then probably not.
i don't think your mum meant the hamster had it and passed it on to your sister...whether that was the case don't you think you and your mum would also own it?
hamsters can make any skin condidtion worse, just like any other furry animal. adjectives it is, is that your sister has sensitive skin and the hamsters bought out a reaction to her.
only item i can suggest to help is either a) hold on to your sister away from the hamster and make sure you purify your hands with a DISINFECTANT soap after handling it or b) re-home the hamster. its sad but the consolation of your sister really must come first.
if your still keen on having a pet why not try fish? no fur to irratate your sisters condidtion. or, whether your mum thinks your ready for the responsibilty why not get a tortoise? whether you did get on PLEASE think carefully approximately if you really really want it because if you got a babe-in-arms one the chances are that it would actaully outlive YOU!
Answers: My sister has had really bad eczema since birth. She have been to see many doctors and specialists but has other had it unfortunately and there hasn’t be much that they’ve been able to do for her. Some times its worse than others for her and its something she’s always have to deal with and suffer with.
When she be younger she always wanted to go horse riding but she couldn’t because whenever she get on a horse or even went near one it made her skin flare up really badly and she come out with rashes and loads of bumps.
She has however have a few hamsters and has been able to hold them and look after them minus any problems. She has also had a rabbit, cats, a rotweiler and a boa constrictor at various points. Now currently in recent times have two cats and no problems from the fur of these or any of the other pets she’s had.
Speaking for myself I sometimes suffer from poor dry skin often when I own shaved. I suffered more in the last couple of years and it prompted me to get a hygrometer so I can be aware of the humidity. When it is really dry my skin suffers more, but i.e. something at least I can control now as I have a humidifier and can use that whether need be.
I also noticed in the ending two years my skin was worse since I reduced my salt intake due to all the report stories about it being really bad and overriding to heart disease and all sorts of things. Recently I started sprinkling a small amount of salt back on my food again and enjoy noticed an improvement and have not suffered dry skin condition as much in a minute. I also make sure to drink lots of water particularly when the humidity is really dry and especially when you're in an office most of the daylight.

many asthmatics can't handle a hamster minus wheezing and coughing and their eyes running
I've had several hamsters and I have ecsma but I don't cogitate they affect it. However, if you use sawdust in their cage, it can sometimes craft your ecsma worse.
