CHINESE HAMSTERS INFO?
Please tell me about Chinese hamsters! I am probably getting one soon, and want information! Just answer me with this please:
1. Can they 'cuddle'?
2. Are they too promptly?
3. Do they bite often or rarely?
4. They are NOT technically dwarf hamsters, correct?
4. They look slightly similar to mice, right?
5. Are they sweet & gentle natured?

1) with patience, yes. hamsters are severely timid at first and require alot of patience on your part to get them used to you. after that they enjoy been known to just chill contained by their owner's pockets.
2) yes!
3) it depends on their personality. but if they are scared or you wake up them up and startle them yes they will probably bite
4)yes they are dwarf hamsters
5) no they do not look like mice. they have very completely small stubs of tails, they have big cheeks, their body is more broad, they are fluffier, and their coloring is different

additional info: hamsters are best by themselves. do not buy them in pairs. as they mature they are particular to fight eachother and cause serious harm or even destruction. do not buy them an all pastic cage- they may chew right out of it! their teeth are always growing, so make certain you keep chew sticks in their with them. they relish chewing and nesting in hay. dont ever use red cedar bedding for them. it can cause upper respitory problems!

Answers: 1.you will have to enjoy an old chinese hamster if you want it to cuddle with you-they are resembling puppies-balls of energy.At least mine is.
2.they are pretty darn fast.One minute you're holding him,consequently next thing you know,he's in your shirt.
3.chinese hamsters are set biters.mine has only bit me once-i forgot to wash my hand after i fed him.he thought my hand was food.consent to him come up ad smell you hand the first couple of days.if he walk onto your hand,great.if he dosent,try again.best thing is to dipper him up from under.
4.they are more rat-like than hamster-like.mostly because they have a longer tail than most hamsters.they are just call dwarf hamsters because of their size.
5.depends on the one you get.hamsters are like people.Some are the nicest things you will ever group.others can be devils.
