Could my rat draw from a respitory infection whether it be individual surrounded by pine bedding for a daytime ?

i bought 2 male rats at pesmart yesterday and they had the rats in precision fresh and i brought them home last night and put them into a pen with pine bedding i didnt know it was bad anyways they started to sneeze closely so i took all the pine bedding out and put in some carefresh bedding and they are still sneezing ?
nope
No, they should be fine. When you first bring a rat domestic they sneeze alot. They're in a new envirnment so they're sniffing so hard it's making them sneeze. Also, it's other kinda stressful to go somewhere new for them, so no worries. Your babies should stop sneezing in a year or two. BUT, if it continues for more than four days you might wanna take them to the vet. Check for signs of runny noses and wheezing.
Answers:    If you have them within an aquarium, they can get a respitory infection anyways, but in an open shut within they should get enough ventalation so it wouldn't bother them much longer. Aspen shavings are also good.
No, it builds up from days of mortal exposed to it. Sometimes rats sneeze a lot due to stress and becasue they are sniffing thier new home. Give it a few days and see whether it continues. The same thing happend to me when I bought my first pair of rats from Petsmart only they turned out to be sick. I brought them hindmost to the store and said that I wasn't about to spend $100 on vet bills for them when they were sick when I bought them. They let me enjoy a free visit to the Petsmart vet where they were treated and givin prescription. However, all through their lives they got sick and I spent a great deal of money on them.
Also, I found out that nearly every rat you buy from Petco or Petsmart get their animals from a puppymill like breeding center supplier called Rainbow World Exotics. The animals are forced to mate, overbred, not givin attention, and mistreated for profit. The parents that are bred don't get hold of medical treatment are are discared like objects. The parents may have genetic problems and health problems that are passed to the babies. The babies are shipped everywhere to Petco and Petsmart to find homes. The stress of the trip normally makes them sick and they are not getting the medical care at the stores.

It is absoloutly NOT normal for rats to be sneezing adjectives the time. However, it is okay if they sneeze only a bit. Rats bodies work a lot similar to humans and for that reason, they are used in labs more then any animal. People solitary sneeze if they are sick and if they do sometimes, it is okay. Rats are the same. If they are sneezing profoundly, they are showing signs of Mycoplasma and if it is left untreated, your rats can die.
Mycoplasma is a respiratory disease caused by Mycoplasma pulmonis, an organism carried by adjectives pet rats and found in wild rats too. All rats carry the pulmonis, but not adjectives show symptoms. Some rats will never show any signs of illness and others will never recover and will keep coughing. If it is severe and in that is clear evidene that the rat is suffering, then you need to see a vet. Unfortuanatley, in some rats once it become severe, even with treatment it will always come back every few months. This is why I urge family never to get rats at pet stores because illness is triggered more. It is triggered by:
Rats that are stressed
Rats with minor illnesses
Over-crowding in cages
Poor ventilation of the animal’s habitat including ammonia buildup from urine and feces
Use of bedding or litter that contains phenols (e.g., pine and cedar).
These symptoms can be treated, buti t is can never be completely gone from a rat's respiratory system by medical treatment. Mycoplasma is for this reason of enormous concern to rat enthusiasts.
The symptoms of the upper respiratory disease, which involve the nasal passages and middle ears, can include sneezing, sniffling, occasional squinting, rough hair coat, and porphyrin staining around the eyes and muzzle. If the inner ear becomes involved, head tilt (wry neck) and rolling may occur.
As disease advance along the respiratory passages causing bronchiolitis. The signs may include rattling moist breath sounds, labored breathing, gasping, chattering, and coughing. Hunched posturing beside rough coat and weight loss will also be present.
Some rats show more signs of it and others may not seem to have it. Watch them and with the sole purpose call the vet if it worsens. Becasue it is basically permanent, only go to the vet if it begin to affect their quality of life. Even if the lone symtpms are sneezing, they have it and sadly, there is nought to be done unless it worsens. Even then, it will come back eventually.
