Daughter's hamster have a big reg bulge (abcess?) within bottom?
My daughter's hamster has a huge red bulge (sac-like) protruding from her bottom, near her genitals. One of my daughter's friends said it was probably cancer, but after reading up on cancer within hamsters it doesn't sound like that's what it is. I don't have the money to transport her to a vet, but was wondering it anyone has seen like peas in a pod thing and maybe there's something I can do for her. Please help!
Answers: I am not a veterinarian, but suspect this to be a prolapsed rectum. I can just suggest seeing a veterinarian to properly diagnose what is causing this condition. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
