Does anyone who have a guinea pig own a giant bubble?
I want to buy a ball for my guinea pig to run around in. I know petsmart has the really huge ones. I read online somewhere that the ball are bad for guinea pigs. I don't want to get one if it is unpromising for her. Let me know if you have one and if you own had issues with them.

Yeah i think that balls for them to roll around can damage guinea pig's back, so i don't reccomend getting one! It is the same with the rolly things you know that hamsters run around and around in they are doomed to failure for guinea pigs backs too. Some other toy's that my guinea pigs enjoy are tunnels that they can run through and houses that they can sit in or bounce on top of.

i have a guinea pig and he doesn't close to it we would put him in it and he would not walk at all, they don't see impressively far. Also once my friend left her guinea pig in the ball and he get a rash because of the heat inside. If you love your guinea pig protect him and don't let him suffer from one of those animal cruelty ball

Guinea pigs spines don't curve the same method hamsters or mice's spines do. Balls can cause severe back problems.. plus most guineas hate the ball anyway.
So no balls & no wheels for guinea pigs.

The spine of a guinea pig does not bend backward (think U-shaped) like a hamster, gerbil, rat, or ferret. Putting a piggie inside one of those balls cause extreme stress to the spine, which can result in terrible injuries and pain.
Although the manufacturer of these large balls have guinea pigs tabled and pictured on the boxes the balls come in, they do not care that your piggie is hurt. They merely want your money---so they prey on unsuspecting guinea pig owners to line their pockets.
Your piggie will be much happier with extended floor time.
I rescued one at one point.. and she came with a ball.. but she detested it.. I ended up using it for my rats instead. They don't see distances well.. so I doubt they'd be comfortable..
Guinea pigs don't resembling being put into balls to run around. I made the mistake of putting Jack into one when he was younger and he a moment ago freaked out.
