Every time i play my flute my guinea pig freshly frezes contained by 1 spot?
you better keep playing it or he will grow 1000 times its size, roam the top soil, and destroy everything in its sight
Although guinea pigs are domesticated, they still have their wild instincts. Those include staying vastly still when a predator might be around. Since they are very scittish scared animals, your pig is just worried and is using his/her instincts which they learned including unfamiliar noises. Nothing to be worried around, he/she will probably get used to the sound and not be afraid after a while, but it's nothing to be worried something like.
Answers: You need to remember that animals have much more sensitive hearing than humans. What sounds pleasant to you, is big pitched to the sensitive hearing of animals.
Sometimes guinea pigs "play dead" when they are scared. They aren't very suitable at it, but when they are frightened they just freeze. Guinea pigs have extremely good audible range. If you are playing loud then it will be very loud for your guinea pig. Try playing softer.
Pied Flutist
its the sharp noise. my quinea pig hears a sharp noise, it freezes too. no verbs, if there is another problem, do some reaserch!
Rodents freeze when they are frightened. It is an instinctive action probably developed because they are habitually eaten by birds of prey and being motionless makes them more difficult for predators to see.
So I guess the flute scare him.
bahahahah video video it and put it on youtube :)
He's probably not used to it. Try petting him a bit (if he likes being petted) while you play, or administer him a treat he really likes just before or while you play. He'll eventually associate the music next to something good and relax when you play.
