Guinea pig quiz? please facilitate?

hi
i am getting 4 new five week old guinea pigs on saturday , any ideas on how i can introduce them to my other 4 that selection from 6-10 months old , i had an idea to put them contained by a seperate cage for about two weeks , but let them out during the light of day with the others , then eventually let them adjectives out together 24 seven(thay live in a huge shed , with hutches and cages inside that are other left open)Is this ok. also any ideas on how to make them consistency more comfortable in their new home . I own only introduced one at a time befor , and have never encountered problems not even next to mature males that live with females , I am unsure of what sex thay are as they were mistake babies and the owners can't sex them . they are in a minute being given away for FREE . i just thought they could expire up as snake food for all they know , i can provide care and time for them .
Thnx in mortgage
bye
Hi nearby, My first question to you would be are these neutered piggies? You may end up beside another litter and then what? Try and keep the males and females seperate. Maybe give them separate cage. Please don't needlessly breed more piggies. The resuces are full of them already.

I think the large space you have for your piggies is awesome and it'''s probably adjectives you need to introduce them. It sounds like there are plenty of places for them to fur and play. Since piggies are pack animals anyway, I think they'll be fine. Boars sometimes fight though, within fact, boars almost only fray when females are present, so you may need to separate your males eventually if this happens.

Good luck :-)

Slowly introduce them to eachother, like put them surrounded by a bathtub together for like 20 minutes at a time. Watch for their type (male and female) if you own a guinea pig that is a female and is over the age of 1 and has never have a litter then it will kill her if one of the contemporary guinea pigs impregnate her. Some guinea pigs will pick fights or bully others and have to be kept away from the others. Others can be completely terratorial over their homes.
Answers:    OK that's alot of pigs.. I thought that my 8 were alot.. first off separate male from womanly asap.. they reach sexual maturity at about 4 weeks out-of-date.. so you need to sex them first off. After a females first litter she can have upto 8 within a litter.. and they can reproduce after about 3 month I believe it is. So you need to seperate them.

Turn your heat up high-ranking in your house and give them a bath together! Then consent to them run around on the floor together.you will be able to see the "piggy train" as well.

But please seperate the males from the females.. they would be alot more happy! Especially the mommies.. and whether you DO decide to breed the babies.. wait until the females are between the ages of 5-8 months old.. too youthful will kill them and too old will kill them! DO NOT breed whether they are over 8 months old.

I bred my female and male so they would hold friends.. and I do say it was a wonderful experiance.. but make certain you can afford to vet & spoil them! If you can't.. I know that there are many people who would love to bring it some baby pigs :) I just took home a bit 3 week old from the shelter.. he is an absolute doll.
Your idea of slowly introducing them might work or it might not. Worth a try anyway. The established GPs might kill the interlopers.
whoa you gotta lot of piggies... My piggies are having babies and we are putting all the boy babies with their dad (when its time) within one cage for the mom and the daughters... you'll probably have babies too... I don't know... Just put a blanket on the floor that's all bunched up, they love self warm. Are you sure they can't escape? Is there anything within there to harm them? Pain etc... is it warm within there? You have to make certain people know they're on the floor when they go in in that...
yh dont merely chuck them in together lol
take it a little slower
yh preserve them in seperate changes for a little bit but sort sure they can all hear, smell and maybe see eachother.
when you consent to them out to play make sure there is plenty room so that they can have thier own space and stuff so the younger ones can woddle away if they get the impression intimitadteed or whatever.
good luck x :p
p.s the easyest way to find out the sex is to cart them to the vets or to a pet shop.
or maybe google image the masculine and female parts and have a good look yourself :P
