Hamster Hair Loss...?
My hamster has been losing her hair and it seem like she is getting smaller. She started losing her hair when I got a cat. Could it be stress from the cat? She is in the region of a year and a half. We got her from the pet store. This hasn't happened to any of my other hamsters. She is a Honey Bear Hamster and she have a really pretty coat.
it might be, just don't get rid of the cat remove the hamster in to a different room so the hamster can't smell anything.
she just has mites and they are making it to where on earth she does not want to eat get her some medicine and she will be fine

Answers: this is really common in older hamsters although not adjectives hamsters do get bald patches. I dont contemplate it has anything to do with getting a cat. Your hamster is old presently so you need to make sure she is diplomatic and not stressed as she will be slowing down
