How do you verbs a hamster shut within?
i m GOING TO buy a hamster later and i don't no how to clean it. People said use detergent, and some said vinegar... What should i use to clean a hamster's pen???????????????!
hot water and dishwashing fluid rinse well.
Take out the hamster first lol.
Then you empty out the cage, take adjectives the toys and water bottle and food dish and stuff out.
Then you empty the bedding and everything left into a trash pack.
You can take bleach and pour just a little surrounded by the cage to kill the ammonia, go external with a water hose and clean it out, after dry it off with paper towels and later you have a clean cage.

Answers: Use hot water and a mild dish soap rinse thoroughly vinegar can be used but use it first if you own any tough spots in the corners then use the dish soap to clean it fully again bring in sure you rinse it thoroughly. Try to get a soap that says for sensitive hand this will be mild. NEVER use bleach to clean anything for a small animal I don't care how all right you think your rinsing it, there is just no have need of for it. There are hamster cage cleaning products but the instructions I gave are fine. Make certain you use the paper bedding I suggested before. We used diluted dish liquid (dish water like) in ours. Not bleach, because it wouldn't rinse out economically enough to not smell like it. Anything you use will have to be wash out completely, don't use something that leaves a residue like Comet. Rinse it out completely or you could kill your hamster.
Vinegar is upright to use. Also, there are products in pet stores that kill germs and minimize stench. I other used soap and water, although a cleaning product made especially for cleaning hamster cages is probably a better choice. I recomend getting a cable cage with a plastic bottom. THis was you singular have to clean to base and not adjectives plastic walls, doors, wheels, and all that other junk. Thank you. =D
