When rats are happy, they tend to grind their teeth. But the stuffy breathing is more concerning. I would see a vet and have the rat's lungs checked for a respiratory infection are pneumonia. One of my rats had pneumonia and required me to hold her constantly. Hope your little sweetie is ok! hope i helped!
Answers: Rats grind their teeth together in a process call bruxing to wear them down, this may be what she is doing. Sometimes it makes a bit of a huffing sound while they are doing it. If she is sneezing, wheezing, there are rattle sounds in her lungs, or she has discharge from her eyes and nose it could be a respiratory infection. If she does enjoy an infection you will need to take her to a vet for an exam and some antibiotics. The longer you wait, the worse it will acquire until it is nearly impossible to cure.
Respiratory infections can result from pine or cedar bedding, an unclean cage, stress, and irritants in the heavens, so make sure all of those factor are removed to prevent her from getting another one or getting worse.
