My hamster doesnt use her reins?
Ive had my hamster nearly 2 months ago and she hasnt even been on her wheel, she runs on the top sometimes but after falls off ,ive put her on it but she just runs straight off again she have an exercise ball she goes in so does it business she doesnt use it?
don't worry mine doesn't use the wheel, he merely uses it to climb on and fall off. Ur hamster maybe isn't interested surrounded by it, oh doesn't know how to use it.
My father in law hamster didn't use her wheel, but we discovered it was to stiff for her to use, and she didn't enjoy it, he bought a modern wheel, which was much more free spinning and now she is surrounded by it all the time. See how stiff your hamsters wheel is, if it is contained by good condition, he might not like it and it will be fine as long as he is using his ball
no it dossent matter my hamster dident use his wheel and he lived to be 2 years 8 months
i know precisely what you mean. i've had 5 hamsters + i'm now 14. and i muse at least one of them didn't use the wheel, but just attempted to run on the top ... but slipshod miserably. she used the ball though. i ended up removing the wheel from the hold and she didn't really notice hahaa. just got on next to everything she used to do. (: x
Answers: My hamster doesn't use hers either but adores her exersize ball.
She like to sit on top of the wheel and slide off but thats the merely reason I haven't taken it out of her cage.
If you want take it out and replace it next to a tube see saw or something like that, my hamster has a see saw and LOVES it to pieces.

I get mine from pets at home if your in the UK but they don't hold it on their website.
Also hamsters don't have wheels to run on in the desert where on earth they come from so I guess they don't really need one. Just some like it! =)
One of my hamsters, too. He freshly use it as a bed or something. The others are irritated 'cause they can't use it while he's sleeping lol. Just leave it like that. It take some time before she figures out what the wheel is for.
it doesn't matters my hamster sometimes use it with the sole purpose..SOMETIMES.. he just keeps running and plays with the other hamster..
i don't construe it matters, if your hamster gets exercise next to the ball.
All my hamsters i have had used the controls. But also liked running up to the top of it lol.

Mine doesn't use his wheel either I've had him a year, he loves his globe though, i think some hamsters either don't want to or ain't use to it
I bought my 2 gerbils a controls yesterday and they are scared of it, the same thing happen to my friend and it took 3 months for the hamster to use it properly,all you have to do is wait. show you r hamster it isn't fearsome and put treats in it regulary, then it wont be scared of it and she will probably start to use it.
no doesn't event really she will get enough exercise with the orb so don't worry not all hamsters do go on wheel 2 of mine don't but they still happy and healthy
No, she will with the sole purpose use it if she feels like it! She is getting lots of exercise near the ball so nothing to worry almost.
I have had my hamster for 4 months now, and own only seen her on the wheel twice.

It may take her a little while longer to figure out the joystick, though a lot of hamsters thinks it's just awesome to run higher than it. Some animals like the wheels and some don't. As long as she's getting excercise, I wouldn't worry. Good luck.
