My mannish rats person miserable to the younger one?

ok so i got my baby rat temlpleton and i quarantined him like some of you said intruduceed them and after close to a month of doing that i put them in the cage together. i cleaned it out totally washing everything. in good health my oldest male keeps making him cry and like standing over him one moment he is fine and the next he is being mean i plan he makes him cry so loud it wakes me up in the middle of the dark.. what should i do? should i just leave them be because temp will be fine? or do i like disapline louie? whether i do that how would i disapline him?
water bottle would be the way to discipline, spraying not hitting him next to it :P, but did you introduce them on neutral territory, if the other rat lived surrounded by the cage before, even if you cleaned it okay, itll still might have his scent in it, and rats are very smart, he could newly recognize it as his cage and feel the contemporary rat is intruding
It would be useless to discipline Louie, because you can't be there every minute.
Look carefully. Has Louie bitten Templeton? If he has bitten Templeton more than once, you should probably separate them. If they are of late making noise, keep an eye on them; they will probably settle down.
Males sometimes do have a penchant to fight.
If you decide to separate them, keep the cage next to each other and get them out together when you are around. Templeton will grow, and contained by time they may be able to live together.

Answers:    There is no point in disciplining the larger rat. If there is no blood, then nearby is NO problem. This is completely normal. They squeak when they are in pain, but also newly when they are upset. They don't have to be in pain to squeak. This is unprocessed and they need to sort out their hierarchy. No matter how desperate their sounds are, if they are not drawing blood, you need to leave them alone to sort out their problems.

If your larger rat does start drawing blood, separate them and start the introduction processes over again, but shift slower.

Like human dads rat dads often get jealous of the trial kid on the block...younger, eventually stronger and if the female is there, it take up a lot of time he wants to spend with her. They can kill in cold blood eachother ! Every rat ( animal) and every human are different.

They don't take up much room. I say separate them.
Does the uproar your hamster make at hours of darkness get hold of ridiculous?   I enjoy 2 hamsters...?   Best rodent for a pet?   Why do i have need of to catch everything "prepared" earlier i go and get a hamster?
