My rat other have blood on his fur and muzzle?

My rat keeps getting dried up blood on his nose, i think he accidentally rubs it on his rear because i see it there too.
it could be dried up snot
If you're rat is fairly old, it could be coming up on time to enunciate goodbye. Other than that it could be a number of things. I'm no vet by any means, but I had a friend who have a rat that died of tumors or something like that. Eitherway, when it died there was blood adjectives over the place. Maybe the air's too dry and it's getting bloody nostrils that way, or maybe it inhaled something through it's nose to be exact causing it to bleed. It could be some sort of allergic reaction to something too. Think of when it started happenig and see if you made any change to its diet or cage or whatever. Either way, whether you're concerned you should take it to the vet.
Answers:    That is Porphyrin which could be a mycoplasma (respiratory) infection.

Porphyrin is a red mucous that is produced by a gland behind the eye (the Harderian Gland) which dries the color of blood. It's commonly mistaken for dried blood by people unfamiliar with rats. Porphyrin staining is recurrently associated with mycoplasma infections because the infection puts stress on the rat, and stress will cause the discharge of porphyrin from the eyes and nose. This doesn't other occur when a rat is suffering from an infection. If you have a really laid-back rat, he may not get hold of stressed out! There is also the possibility that your rat is being stressed by something else.

Make sure you furnish him a proper balanced diet and get him looked for treatment as soon as possible here's a list of accepted wisdom you could do:

It could be a respiratory infection or myco, if you hear him making grunting noises, opening his mouth to breathe, or whether he sneezes, then you need to take him to a vet.

It's also a perfect idea to check his body, to make sure he didn't hurt himself too fruitless. Or it could be just stress.
you need a new boy Friend
Hm, you should go to a vet his scratch could be infected! He might be getting scratched by something sharp in his enclose!
DO NOT WORRY. Its not blood. Many years of raising and breeding rats has taken to the vet over this. That's common whenever a rat has a runny nose. It's a protective kind of point.
It's probably some wicked diseased sewer rat. I wouldn't touch it.
how many rats are there, well dry it sour, if it comes back take it to the vet
Tell him to stay out of those bars !
don't worry. this most likely isn't blood. its poryphin (sp?) Rats "snot" and spit dries red resembling that. So when they groom, if hes white, his fur will turn a little red. You just entail to worry when there's a lot of it. It could mean he's sick. You could other take him to the vet just in suitcase.
