[Picture] Is my rat pen correct?
This is a picture of my rattie's cage. :)
We bought her this bird cage instead, and took out the bottom bars.
Does this look flawless to you? I was also thinking about adding a long dangling bird toy for her to climb up. Good conception, or no?
**She does have chew toys in this picture, but half of them are stored within her little house aha.**
Anything I should change/add?
(btw, i've had her for several months now, I didn't just win her or something)
thanks. :]

Just like to say your rat is gorgeous! =D...now to reply your question. The cage is a little small but I resembling what you've done with it, it looks really nice and well designed. The hammock is hanging up technically high, which is good as it leaves more floor space and toys are always dutiful as they give the rat something to do. I don't think you need to join anything, it looks like she has everything and it would crowd the cage putting too much stuff within. hope this helped =)
Answers: That cage is way too small even for a single rat. A rat wants at least two square feet and many level to climb on.
By the way, rats should never be kept alone. You need to get another rat for her to play near. Rats are extremely social creatures and are quite miserable if kept alone. Please do some research on rats or interweave goosemoose.com
It looks fine, just keep shifting it around, it keeps your rat stimulated. i think that you are doing good beside your rats cage, she looks healthy and happy. hang on to up the good work!
It looks okay...might be a little small. You might try to make it so that she can climb up on vertical level...like a multi-storied house...giving her some more room to play and exercise. I have always considered necessary a pet rat..Im a bit jealous.
