The cheapest and easiest process to brand a round up for guinea pigs?
I'm considering getting 2-3 guinea pigs, and I was going to buy a cage from PetSmart or somewhere like that, but they're so small and so exspensive so I fixed to make my own. Does anyone know the cheapest and easiest way to make a guinea pig enclose? I've heard about CC cages but I don't know where on earth you'd get the materials nor how exspensive they are...
What about plastic storage tubs? The clear, see-through type? I've hear those are not good because of their size...
Thanks!
The under bed storage type containers will do fine, a short time ago get the biggest size they have, luckily guinea pigs are not good jumper so they shouldn't escape. I would suggest to just get two guinea pigs though as 3 might be overcrowded contained by this size housing, Put the cash you save into buying quality pellet food and for a moment house for them to hide in, they love hiding as it makes them be aware of safe. Good luck.
Hit the Lowes. Buy 2 by 2 pressure treated wood. Buy Glass cut them up in size you want your cage to be. Cut them up in 4 pieces, paint it beside Kilz and pain any color you want on top of it. Make sure is locked for Animal (the paint material).
OR
go on eBay and look for the Guinea pig cage or Fish Tank of the size you desire.
Answers: Not only are the storage cages not honest because of size, but because they don't allow for proper air circulation. You can use one as a bedding area for your guineas in a c+c pen.
Materials for your c+c cage can be found from WalMart (the grids) and from a sign making shop (coroplast). You can also use linoleum for the bottom, though it's not nearly as strong. Here's an excellent link that gives great detail on where on earth to find supplies as well as how to properly construct your cage:

This is an easy and inexpensive project, own fun with it. My c+c pen for two guinea pigs is 6x4 feet and I am adding a moment story to it.
Hmm storage tubs to small do research whether you dont have much more you could reconsider your pets !
Get one of those big plastic pools (like the foot or s deep ones?) i saw a pic of one (they have a fence around it too!) so maybe that could be a thought. Their like $20.
chicken wire and sticks lol
You could use a storage tub, but if so it have to be free of edges, or they will chew through and escape.
Hope i helped.
