/what hamster should i grasp to be near my dwarf hamster?
I need to buy her a hamster who is not prejudice and will make her happy. Please no males. What should i gain?
You should buy her another dwarf hamster. Syrian hamsters are solitary and would kill in cold blood your dwarf.

Hi there, this is a subject particluarly relevant to me as i have just started to breed russian hamsters. You can introduce another hamster but be prepared for a bit of hassle first and the opportunity that they just may not want a friend! however i have found the best way is to find a path to seperate the cage in two make certain it is fresh and smells of neither and keep them side by side so they can see and smell each other without in actuality touching, then swap them over every day or so until they get used to the smell of respectively other and it mingles. I have 1 male and two females living together which i now find from further reading is roughly the ideal mix i originally had two of each but one masculine was just not sociable and had to be seperated. If you want to introduce another hamster do it in the past they are about six months for optimum sucess. Also russian male hamsters are unusual contained by the fact that they make great fathers and backing to rear the litter and can be left happily next to the mother and babies. If you have an older female i would insist on trying a new cage and letting the younger hamster get settled within first as females tend to be more aggressive and introducing her to new territory may deflect some of that aggression. I keep my 3 hamsters contained by a fantastic hamster cage about the best and biggest i hold been able to find and they just love the 3 level and variety so i though i would recommend it to you too http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/ca...

Sorry once i start i find it difficult to stop, just to tag on that female russian hamsters can breed till about a year old at which point they generally go sterile anyway but they do breed ALOT so if this is what you want be vastly prepared! All four of my hamsters came from different litters and i have introduced 3 with no problems so you merely never know.
one night my dwarf hamster died and the other one ate it.
