Just because you want to hear one thing, doesn't mean the CORRECT answer has changed. Rats entail at least 2 cubic feet PER rat. Abby's cage is still too small for two rats, but it is MUCH better than the thought of an aquarium or cage topper. Check out the rat cage calculator: http://www.fancy-rats.co.uk/information/...

Answers: I actually couldn't find anything on Petco's website. Their rat cages go from $50 and up. The two race that commented before me recommended a product call a 'small animal high rise' from Petco - this is not at adjectives good for a rat. What it is is a 'topper'. It attaches to a ten gallon tank which is not appropriate for 2 rats at all - intensely poor ventilation. Here is what I found for you, I found it on Petsmart.com. What you'll want to do is print out the page with the cage and price on it and bring it into the store. They will game the price if the online price is cheaper.
Again - price is a touchy issue as cages can be pretty expensive. For two rats I'm not seeing anything appropriate for $45. The first appropriate pen I found is for $72.99. It's the only one I found for this price that will have enough space for two mannish rats. You can also look on Ebay though.

not certain but its under the price also look on petco your self the website free! Then you can pick witch one ypu want without people choosing for you ( srry whether i was being mean i in recent times wanted to say)
I don't think you'll be capable of find a good cage for a pair of rats for lower than 45$ at petco. You should look around craigslist for a used cage--I recently bought a HUGE cage for my girls from somebody on craigslist for 50$, the cage sell for over 300$ new and is in perfect condition.
why dont you just buy a 20 gallon tank and some accesories it would probably run you something like 35 in all
