Will a guinea pig slay a mouse or other rodent?
Guinea Pigs do not seem very aggresive. I was wondering whether a female pig would kill/attack a mouse or another type of rodent. If so, why?
Hi I have a Guinea pig for 5ys and she never hert a fly BUT my pet was diffrent and most rodents tend to kill smaller animals but if its a rat and a mouse in attendance ok together.
Rodents are sometimes intensely territorial, no issue how gentle they are with humans. If either rodent perceived the other as a territorial threat, they could start to be at odds.
If you want two rodents to meet, make it be on neutral ground (like a table, neither one's cage) and be prepared to separate them.
Answers: Guinea pigs are peaceful animals. I often preserve my tortoises in with my guinea pigs. First, get a womanly guinea pig. Observe their behavior for a few days. They should be perfectly fine, but keep watch the first few days.
If she is on steroids she could do anything violent.
